Seeing and Understanding the Cross
Thanks for praying that God works in the weekly English and Bible class. The gospel comes up in almost every class, but this week was especially exciting. We read about the crucifixion. As we read, I do my best to ask questions to draw the students into discussion. This allows me to understand where they’re coming from and gives them the opportunity to strengthen their English skills.
This week several non-Christian Chinese students clearly explained the purpose of Jesus’ dying on the cross. They also wrestled with weighty matters like Jesus’ identity as man and God, Jesus choice to take die for us, and their personal response to this reality.
Prayer Requests
- Pray for Cong, Du, Lifeng, and Tianhan. The four of them come very faithfully to multiple gospel outreaches every week. Pray they trust Christ soon!
- Pray God prepares a new group of people to join us when we restart the study in Genesis in the coming weeks.
